Detector(s) used
Minelab Equinox 800
XP Deus II
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I have been visiting this forum pretty regularly but have not posted til now. I have only been detecting for about a year now. I first purchased a Minelab X-terra 505 and once that got me hooked on this hobby I then upgraded to an Equinox 800. I've learned a lot about this hobby over that last year and have been fortunate enough to make some very nice finds. Last weekend I went out with 2 friends who have been detecting for a long time, both of which convinced me to make the Equinox investment. We wanted to get out one last time before the ground freezes up here in upstate NY. Didn't find much for older coinage but I was lucky to pull this 10k ring at about 3-4". It rang up a solid 12 on the Equinox. I'm not the best picture taker but hopefully I have them loaded correctly.

It was a great way to end my first season!

Ohhhh the first gold. Well, first of all...big gratz! Now just kiss your social life goodbye. Your mind will become consumed with finding more of that beautiful gold. And when your not actually hunting the lovely material, you will be thinking about where to find it. It's a lovely, insane addiction. Welcome!! xD

Congrats MastroJ!
I'm hitting the beach in Peru sooth America tomorrow. I'm hoping to grab some gold myself!
Excellent score dude!

Hey! Congrats on your first GOLD! It only gets more "addicting" from here! Trust me.....lol

Welcome to becoming a TNet contributor. I always appreciate when people post what they are finding. Sometimes seeing other people find stuff inspires me to get off my butt and go uncover finds of my own. Beautiful ring too by the way. Gotta love that green stone!!

Nice!

A fat heavy one!

Great find!
