My first H2O Silver

I love to read all about the great finds you all make. Sorry but I was stoked to get my first ever (land or water) silver coin that I had to post it It is a 1954 quarter found in knee depth water. I do not believe that the earing is silver it is not marked, but I dug that in dry sand a short time before I got into the water. This year marks my third year beach hunting, and my fourth year on land and this is my first silver coin! Not much but I was excited!

Thanks I have a good time in the water. Even when I don't find much it is more than I would have found on land because I would not detect because it would be too hot!! But get this I was detecting at a beach the other day and an older gent came up and told me that I would not find much because twice a year they come through with a big rig that somehow sifts the sand. But being persistent I have decided I will try to be there as much as possible and maybe get something before they do or find something that they missed But that is the dry sand I much prefer to be in the water. But this man did tell me what beaches I should hunt that they do not sift. I am gonna check out those leads.

Nice find on he Silver! Don't let the old man bumb you out, the beach cleaners only go so deep and leave a lot behind. Water is the place to be, that's where the Silver and GOLD are!

No place is truly ever hunted out. There is always something there so persist! I can generally always find something even if it isn't much. The one think I do have is persistence. Hang in there.

I would love gold but it has eluded me! Hopefully tomorrow will be the day. Today was T-storms so I stayed out of the water. I am hoping to get there tomorrow
