Took my AT Pro out this morning in between rain showers and found this tiny 1837 silver half dime. My very first one :hello2: . Any idea what it could be worth? 1837hd 001.jpg

Great find. It looks like it was just dropped yesterday.

Gotta' love the silver.

I have no clue what it's worth but I sure like it.
Congrats.

excellent find. high on my wish list, but highly unlikely one would ever be found in my area

Thanks guys .... It took me a few minutes to locate it with the pinpointer. It was around 10 inches deep in sandy soil. Then I saw it my first thought was I have finally found my first 3 cent piece , but oh well I'll take this anyday!!! Still searching for my first 3 cent piece :metaldetector:

I believe you've found the "no stars" variety of this coin. Valued at $150 in VG condition, $235 in Fine condition, $500 in Very Fine condition, $800 in Extremely Fine condition. Very nice find.

It was coming up at an 80 on the AT Pro even at a depth of 10 inches

Found 2 Canadian fish scales and a seated half dime with my Pro this year. They were all deep. Gotta love the Pro. Nice diggs

Congrats on your Half Dime! I've found 2 so far, but not even close to the great condition at yours! Way to go 😄
