My First Legitimate Find

[Just_curious]

I finally found something significant today. I have been finding nothing but pull tabs and modern/semi-modern coins. No jewelry, no relics, no silver, etc. WELL THAT ALL CHANGED TODAY . I am super excited about it. Not necessarily because it's valuable, not because it's old, but because this stuff IS still out there. It may only be one coin...but I would say it's in GREAT condition for 115 years old, and hopefully it's the beginning of better progress during future detecting!

Wow. This thread got way more attention than I thought it would have! Lol. Thank you all so much for the props and words of encouragement. I couldn't have found it without the knowledge and advice from this community, that's for sure. Hope I can report more finds in the very near future. I've got some pretty promising sites to hit, so I'm gonna keep at it.

Doesn't matter if a person has dug dirt for 1 day or 50 yrs that beauty would a smile on their face seeing it the dirt, my own personal feeling of seeing silver of that era in the dirt. Congrats on your first one, my the memory last for many yrs.
