Hey everyone I'm 11years old and this is my first time posting my finds . me and my dad went detecting today and I found an old spoon a new bullet a couple of old brass pieces and a mystery its made of iron and has serrated edges and my dad found a U.S. buckle IMG_20141026_165057_457.jpg IMG_20141026_165107_681.jpg

that is a piece is a sickle bar mower blade like the one I used on the farm tractor to cut the hay.

That is really good advice! I was your age in 1971 and I hadn't been hunting long. Someday, you'll be telling stories to "new" hunters in 20 years about how much great stuff you could still find back in 2014! Welcome to T-net!

I must be really exciting to have a metal detector when you are 11 years old! Nice finds! Wish I had one when I was 11!

That is really good advice!....

If I had, had a metal detector when I was in school. I might've become a history major!!

BUT!! Don't neglect the playgrounds and such. Those batteries don't pay for themselves! LOL
