Today was my first time out. Ground is still way to hard in many places. Detected an old farmstead that is still in use , but much of the land has been turned to houses in past 100 or so yrs.
Found 2 Nails , 1 Piece of steel with hole in it , 1 what I think is an alum. spoon from a childs tea set that beeped as coin , that I broke while trying to extract it. Also found what I guess is called clad . 6 pennies , 1 dime - 1967 , 1 nickel - 1962 , 1 quarter- 1967 , and a tiny silver earring that has .925 and another small marking.
Not what I call spectacular .... but was a good learning experience non the less.
Will be back out at it tomorrow as weather permits.
