My first V nickel

I'm having a lot better luck detecting while I'm working out of town. Then again, I'm becoming one with my Etrac more and more every hunt.

Hit up a little park with some very old houses bordering it and dug tons of clad before I hit a super-iffy nickel signal. This puppy was deep! A good 8 inches down. It's an 1891 and it shows every bit of its age. I could barely make out the date. Gonna swing there again after work. It's pretty promising. Thanks for looking!

Its a treat to find an old nickel like that one. In my experience they never come out of the ground looking very good...but that's ok. At least I know I'm on good ground.

I also found a 1891 V nickel, but it was in sand and has a very good date to see last summer my oldest coin yet. Great find HAPPY HUNTING
