My little red head gives up Gold and Silver

I found me a Sweet Spot. I had found things in this area before but nothing like this. There is a set of rapids that people swim and man do they lose the the good stuff.

I had worked up the rapid shoot almost to the top. The water was hitting me from every direction. The water would lift me up then put me down. It was like being peeled off the rocks very slowly. I watch one of my friends go shooting past me twice. I could hang on with my hands but finally I found this one spot were this giant boulder was sitting. I could stay under the rapids if I wrapped my legs around the rock. Then I could use my hands to fan through the rocks and sand that had built up. Everything I found was without a MD. I was having a blast

I found 1 Titanium Ring
8 Silver Rings
4 14k Gold Rings
1 14k Gold Bracelet
1 1964 quarter
1 1949 wheat penny
2 fishing lures
and some clad

I really cleaned up. My buddy I was there with, found a nickle and a penny. He was mad 8) It looks like we will be heading back to My Little Redhead really soon.

Holy crap!
All that without a detector
MAn I have spent so many hours underwater dredging for gold it is unreal. Often time in old swimming holes and have DREDGED up two rings the entire time.
I am truly amazed.......

If you found all this without one, using a detector can increase it tenfold.

thats got to be a day for the record books! and all found without a detector!! sounds like you found the spot where the current deposits all of the heavier items. ill bet if you go back in a few years you will repeat this success! outstanding finds!

I already tried to get into the water with a MD. The current makes it very difficult to hold on to the MD and have a hand hold when I'm moving up to the spot I found. I don't think I could make it without the use of both my hands!

Maybe further downstream? Some of the stuff might be carried further downstream where the current isn't as strong and you could find it with your MD. That is one great pile of rings! Never heard of anyone getting that many at one time.
