My mineral collection

A sight to behold. So much more interesting than a run-of-the-mill coin collection or a bunch of baseball cards or something. To me, there are few things more pleasing to the eye than a lovely, cared-for gem and mineral collection.

Thanks, I am always looking for one I don't
have in my collection yet.
nature made some beautiful minerals.

Hey Chong, Sorry to take so long in answering, but my (Puter) was down.
I have one, but not sure of the name, supposed to come from caves in India, they pick them with large tweezers I was told,
they look like small puff balls.

Not sure if I know what they are, I've heard the name before.

In the 2nd photo very bottom right-hand side, that one looks like a Petoskey Stone. I LOVE finding and polishing the smaller rocks for jewelry. Even tho I give most of it away!

It's the state stone of Michigan...Can I see a larger pic of the rock, please?

Thanks,
Tori

fossis,
i pulled some of my stuff out and i found what i was talking about.
its called Okenite
Its real soft and you cant handle it much or it will wear all the tiny velvet things "crystals?" off down to the stone.
