my new oldest coin found on Sunday 3/4/12

[bmanofnbc]

It's been a while since I posted anything on Tnet but I figured this coin was worthwhile to post...

I've had some luck in a local park recently so I spent a couple of hours there this past Sunday and found this coin from 1676! It was ID'd on the coin community forum as being a 1 duit from Gelderland which is/was a province of the Netherlands. How and when it got to southern Maryland I may never know...

Nice find man.

That is one old coin for the states. I would like to get something here in pittsburgh from the 1600's.
