Privately owned sportfish, fishing the keys and Bahamas mostly !!Guessing you run an offshore charter service? View attachment 2195264
Not a charter Gare....privately owned boat. Very large wealthy family. I've worked for them for 17 years on a variety of different boats. I do freelance work on the charter boats also. They are very flexible with me, and I often double dip by freelance fishing when we are not busy. I have worked on fishing boats since I was 15. It's a complete lifestyle for me !! The motto is....."i love fishing, fishing is my life" I wouldn't change a thing....I love what I do so much !!Nice going. I just bet you have had people come on board you wish they had not
I used to have a charter fishing business up in Manistee Michigan
Makes me think of Joe vs the Volcano.Been doing it for 20 years and I don't know how much more of it I can take. It's one of those jobs where you day dream about walking out and never going back. Ugh.
I am kind of getting off track of the original post but Jewlerguy thank yo9u for your effort some people have have to do it. Thank you for doing itVery nice. My view every day is 4 walls with no windows. Secure facility where you have to go through metal detectors and your stuff through x-ray machine every day when you enter and exit. Been doing it for 20 years and I don't know how much more of it I can take. It's one of those jobs where you day dream about walking out and never going back. Ugh.
Sounds like you need a break to go fishing !! I have not achieved any type of millionaire status....but....I have found happiness in my work. It pays well enough, and I'm as stress free as anyone can be. It gets a little stressful if were in a slump and not catching any fish....but that never lasts long, and we always know the fish will bite sooner or later.Very nice.
