My Oldest Coin Found CRHing and other goodies to view.

As some of you know, I have been playing this game for a few years. When I originally found this coin, it was in a full bag of halves from a bank in Oklahoma. The date on the coin is 1787. It is called a Connecticut Copper. In its condition it is more of a conversation piece than anything of real value. Quite a shock when it rolled out of the bag. It is smaller than a half dollar but it did escape the bank's reject pile.
The other pic is just some fun stuff I had laying around. The commemoratives all came from the same shipment so I guess it was part of a much bigger collection.

As my fellow Canadian Hunter has already asked, what year is that George VI? Judging from the back I would say between 1948-1952.

Looks like Santa came early. Those are some incredible finds. I just love the Copper (and the special date)! It is amazing what can "slip" through the system. Can you just imagine where that coin has traveled and the stories it could tell. :icon_sunny:
