i was there for that find ... to bad nj soil kills some coins . looks like the new e-trax is a great machine and pulls some nice coins out of a iron infested site .......and lee is on a hot strek this winter . [ wish i had his luck when i started ] his second coin from the 1700's. and let me tell you you cant ask for a better hunting partner . no matter how cold how wet and how hot he is always there to hunt . he takes his time and does his research on sites ..........great coin pal.........

Are you sure? That looks like a British George II/III Reverse. Nice find all the same.
 

It's a George II British Halfpenny. (1729-1754) On the first picture you posted you can see the "NIA" on the right side. A Connecticut would say ET LIB. It's much more the British style Britannia too.
