My second ring ever! earring and some change

Sorry I'm on my iPhone so I can't upload the pictures. I went out today to one of our local beaches. I finally dug EVERYTHING thanks to my new 18" shovel. Forget having a good detector. the digger is what made the difference.

Hi, silver rings turn black after they have been in the water for years. Does your ring have any markings inside the band? Probably says .925.

Thanks for the tip. I never would have know that.

The picture made it look black. It looks more coppery in real life. plus the corrosion was bright blue. I guess I need to take it somewhere to have it checked out. I can't see any markings. I think it was probably zinc plated costume jewelry.
