Found a peace dollar while digging in my front yard today, after cleaning it up I noticed a small imperfection on the right side, looks like a small hole but does not go through coin. Does this mean anything.

Thanks

I think it is just PMD (post mint damage)

Hefty silver! Gotta love it. Congrats! Maybe some merchant was testing it, with a punch of some sort. It was the equivalent of about $15 today. Great find.

Welcome aboard and Big time Congrats for that Peace dollar! I don't know how long you've been doing this, but I've been at it 30 years and have yet to find a silver dollar of any kind.

Welcome to "the Silver Dollar Club" ! One of the more
elusive bucket listers to achieve. I was fortunate to enter the club ten years ago with a Peace Dollar as well.

Welcome and congratulations on a wonderful find. The impact mark looks like what a dart would make when the dollar was used for target practice! Cheers, Sub :laughing7:

I agree with the rest. It doesn't appear to be a mint error. Congrats on a great find.
