Myrtle Beach--can you Metal detect there

Heading there for spring break. Anyone been and detected. Any issues. I have been lots of time but cannot remember seeing folks there swinging detectors.

Yes you can hunt myrtle beach. I was on the beach last week just stay off the dunes and cover your holes. The police travel the beach all day and most of the night. Have fun and hope you find a pocket full.

I hunted there in November with no problems. I second Casper 2, Jim's book is a great resource for water hunting. He is an expert on Myrtle Beach.

Be careful of the Turtle Eggs! And beware, the city is infested with green lasers. All the beach stores sell these to people and the people WILL shine them at you. Have fun!

Thanks...Will do. Just did not want to have the police on my rear. I have found hundreds of sharks teeth there, never used the detector.

I was there in December and it was sanded in real bad. I couldn't hardly get a signal in the wet sand. I moved up to the white sand and didn't find much but my buddy got a gold ring.

Most beaches like those with MD's as we help clean up the place.

Thanks for the imput folks, heading there in a week. Now to figure how to mount a drink holder on my detector....the wife and daughter have already advised they will not acknowledge my existence when I bring it out on the beach.

I might put on black socks pulled to my knees, shorts pulled way up, goofy hat. Then just keep walking in circles around them..

Went great, no jail time yet ha. Not much treasure but I did learn a lot about the AT Pro and Ace 250 on the surf. Also did a few vids on it, reviews on my two scoops and a how to on making a homemade long handle scoop on my YT page.
