✅ SOLVED Mysterious Glass Box - E Pluribus Unum / Eagle, any suggestions?

My friend picked this box up at a sale just out of curiosity, thinking it would be easy to research but it hasn't been easy at all.. I've tried a few obvious searches but found nothing so far..

Sorry for the semi-bad cell phone pics.. I do not have the box in front of me at the moment but from what I remember, it's probably about 3" x 3" or close to it.. Any suggestions?

Grandma had several. They were used for good jewelry, paste jewelry, sewing stuff, junk in general. I played with them as a child, sold them years ago...

Thank you, CW.. That looks like the right ID.. I would have just figured it was a generic trinket box but the inside is what was throwing me off.. It looked as though something special was inside originally

ask your friend if it has a co. name stamped on the box, so as to research the co. for more info
