I've tried the bamboo fly rod groups, antique fishing groups, nothing! Such a strange pole. Someone suggested, possibly Asian?

There is such a great knowledge base here, someone has to know who the manufacturer or maker is.

Wood handle & not cork, spring like eyelets. Wrapped bamboo sections. Came with extra light tip section for the 3pc, 7'4"set up & a heavier tip section for a 2pc, 4'11" set up.

Came in a Shakespeare Wonder Rod aluminum tube with rubber caps.

Unable to find anything remotely close.

Help me Treasure Net, you're my last hope.

Thanks in advance, Paul

It definitely looks to be from Japan. One of their techniques to ensure the six strips of bamboo did not separate was to wind thread in open loops up most of the entire blank between the guides. I have a bamboo flyrod from the Grampus Company in Japan that looks similar. They are also labeled Karaku & Company out of Tokyo, Japan.

Yes I have a blue one just like it. They came in a complete kit with rod lures and flies . They were made for export. They were exported under a few brands. It is likely a kyoto-ya and Co. They also made fly rod / spinning rod combo kits where you just changed the handle pieces.

I don't think it's a flyrod..maybe it's made for a center-pin reel?
