I dug this Saturday at a large U.S. camp where artillery was present. I thought I may have dug a shell until I got it out of the hole. It's solid iron. Large drill bit? I have no idea. HH, Quindy.

Pretty close with drill bit. It's a carbide-tipped bit for bulldozer or other equipment.
