Finally made it back home today after five fun filled days with some of the Tnet gang. What a great time Charlie and I had!

Here's my finds and winnings and gifts from this past week...

Found my first Chinese coin this past week! Anyone here read Chinese?

Couldn't leave without finding the horseshoe and bullets either!

After the weekend hunt, Burdie took us on a tour of some of his favorite spots. Thanks Burdie!!! We had a great time!!!!

This is a pic of some of the old glass and tin that was dug up when the road was scraped recently...

Some of the plants and flowers that are not native to KS but were brought in on the Chisholm trail...

And the marker showing the trail....

Found a turtle!

And this is a picture of one of the buildings in Caldwell.......this turtle is famous!

Made my way over to Warsaw to visit WSDaddy for a day. What a great time we had there too! He set us up in a spot with the most beautiful view and the most gracious hosts! And the food!!! OH my gosh! What great food!!!

He took us for a look-see around Warsaw and here are some of the pics from there and the Truman dam....

Thank you SO much for the lovely week! We had a blast!!! Looking forward to next year!!!!!

I took some basic Chinese. I can see the words "eggroll" and "cat" on there, but that's all I can translate.

Sweet pics! I dug a chinese cash coin just like yours last month. It's from the Ch'ien Lung dynasty 1736-1795. Beijing mint.

Beautiful pictures Nana. Sounds like you had a blast. I found one of those Chinese "cash" coins but it isn't in nearly as good condition as the one you found. Great find.

The State reptile is the ornate box turtle. A class of 5th graders in Caldwell got a bill passed in the State Legislature. Caldwell is the Ornate Box Turtle capital of the world.
I am so glad your home safe. Miss you guys. Congrats on your winnings and finds.

The pictures are almost as beautiful as the person that took them (hope it wasn't Charlie! )

Thank you so much for the slide the zipper pulls and the hugs!!!! Definitely the hugs!!!

I had a great time and I hope to get to see you and Charlie again really soon. I loved your chineese coin and all your finds. The little car was cool. You better start washing your finds before throwing them in the trash you never know what you may toss on accident.
