Nana's CTH Hunt Finds

Finally made it back home today after five fun filled days with some of the Tnet gang. What a great time Charlie and I had!

Here's my finds and winnings and gifts from this past week...

Found my first Chinese coin this past week! Anyone here read Chinese?

Couldn't leave without finding the horseshoe and bullets either!

After the weekend hunt, Burdie took us on a tour of some of his favorite spots. Thanks Burdie!!! We had a great time!!!!

This is a pic of some of the old glass and tin that was dug up when the road was scraped recently...

Some of the plants and flowers that are not native to KS but were brought in on the Chisholm trail...

And the marker showing the trail....

Found a turtle!

And this is a picture of one of the buildings in Caldwell.......this turtle is famous!

Made my way over to Warsaw to visit WSDaddy for a day. What a great time we had there too! He set us up in a spot with the most beautiful view and the most gracious hosts! And the food!!! OH my gosh! What great food!!!

He took us for a look-see around Warsaw and here are some of the pics from there and the Truman dam....

Thank you SO much for the lovely week! We had a blast!!! Looking forward to next year!!!!!

OK,I let you and Charlie off on that 'cat' reference and the fact that the chinese may have had a contest like Charlie holds.You owe me one for being quiet.What a great find,Nana,hard to beat that time frame in this country.WTG !

Nana, thanx so much for the great story and pictures. I can see you had a great time on your trip. The prizes and finds are fantastic. I have not seen or heard of Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry since I left England.... My parents used to pour Santa Clause some, and place it with a mince pie on the table for when he bought the presents for us

The chines coin is fantastic, oh, and and the writing says "we love you Nana" keep up the great job.

Dang it Nana ....I was reading through all the Chisholm Trail posts again and just saw this...Dont know how I didnt see it before other than I probally had swollen eyes from crying over the fact that I missed the hunt......Great photos and thread .

Great pics, Nana. Like Gypsy....I really am sad that I had to cancel my hunt plans, and ever more sad that I missed the chance to meet you and Charlie. Maybe next time?? Take care!
