Native American?

Thanks for membership approval. I found this site after picking up an interesting rock from a strip mine near my home. It just doesn't look like it could be natural. It is about 4" long and about 1 1/4" wide at the widest part. Could it be a tomahawk? Or grinding stone? Or is it just a freakish sedimentary deposit?

I think you are correct. Makes sense at least. Seems harder than Kentucky sandstone and I agree it doesn't reveal any work that has been performed. Cool rock for my little girl I guess!!! Thanks

Jon is correct. That is a concretion and actually a pretty common form.
