Natural riffles?

I was up running around this weekend and was checking out a river that I know has gold but that I've never mined myself before. Would the rock formations in this picture act as a natural riffle system at a higher water level? I'm thinking crevicing this area might produce some good results. Thoughts?? My dredging season is over so I'm looking something to keep me going

I think that's one of the hardest things though and still gets me today. I go out looking at spots and checking out all these different areas and prospecting where I can and then come back and watch youtube videos and see forum pictures and thing.......holy crap they got gold from there and then spend the next time I go out relooking all those areas again.

unfortunantly surveys around these parts show 60+ feet to bedrock...

digging bedrock in Utah a year or so ago. Very fine, silvery gold but decent amounts in the cracks

Seemed like I was the first to snipe in that whole area, will go back next year for sure...not so far from my in-law's place

You know crazy thing is, reading some of the old mining reports. Setting up those huge operations to get through 50+ feet of cobble to get to bedrock

I was supposed to go out today and do some sluicing but got out, got setup and only got 4 small buckets before I had to leave. I know I shouldn't have had my phone on me but one emergency later and I was back on the road not having run as much material as I wanted. Not much but has potential I guess.......
