Nearly skunked, saved by 1 button...

Actually saved by the button, some lead, and a modern loonie. Hey, a buck is a buck.

Back to the same spot as yesterday, where I got 4 older coins in 2 hours, today you'd think it was a different site (head scratch) After riding my wheel there 2 and a half hours was enough in the heat.

I did get a different button, different shank, and hexagon, Anyone ?

As well I did get some lead, 4 french musket balls, and this larger shaped piece, assuming as it is shaped, rather than a "blob" might it be a weight ? it overloaded my scales, so I will try something different to weigh it. approx. measurements are 1.7 dia. x .6 thick (inches)

Anyway, everyday can't be rainbows, and lollypops. Eh ?

You know Rick, those exact measurements on the lead blob could mean everything or nothing but after being in the ground the dimensions and weight could be altered after many years; I could go on and on but the horse is already dead if you catch my drift...lol


Again, seriously though, you got a great site going and I'm sure you'll discover many new to you finds(firsts) and lots of historical junk!
