Need a coin expert please..

I found this in the woods yesterday about 8" down. Looks like a copper, it's a shade bigger than a quarter and is pretty beat up. The only thing I can make out is, it looks like the number 2 on the one side. I always get good feedback on here so thanks in advance..

If you flip it the one side looks like the horse on a New Jersey copper-
