I found this watch fob when I was in Arizona for the winter and would like to find out how old it is and maybe who made it. It shows the old mission in San Diego, and says " Where California Began 1769 ". Any help would be much appreciated. I have tried to do extensive research on the net with no luck. Thanks in advance for any info. IMG_0004.webp

I have contacted a fob collectors site and am waiting for a reply. Thank you
Its a terrible feeling to find a match but you cant pull up any information on it. Yes its good to know its not the only one. We can very possibly date it by the manufacturers mark on the back. And that also gives us more search words. There are also other search engines besides Google and Bing. Have you tried Yahoo or Dogpile? And there is another one I forget the name. https://searchenginewatch.com/2016/02/25/say-goodbye-to-google-14-alternative-search-engines/ I tried Worthpoint but there are other sites. Try searching the watch fob collector sites. https://www.kovels.com/price-guide/watch-fobs.html
Also keep searching different key words, the old ebay listing may surface or you may find another.

There are what appears to be some unidentifiable markings. I can't tell what they are.

If you post a good clear close up photo, we can tell you what it says. Those are the manufacturers marks and we can date it from those markings.. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/136849-please-read-before-posting-items-what.html

IMPORTANT!

When posting in "What Is It?", please give members the information they need to help identify your find:

1. Post sharp closeup photos of both the front and the back.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner but the back of the fob markings are worn too bad to tell what they are.
Thanks anyway.

We have members that can tell
