I got to sneek out yesterday for 40 minutes in an old yard. I started detecting and the first signal is a wheat that is either an 1912 or 1918 can't really tell cause it is in rough shape. Found a few clad/copepr pennies then another wheat. Got a funny signal and dug a 64 Canadian penny laying on top of a copper penny from the US and a 1960 nickel. Then I was running my coil along a flower bed and got a wheat penny signal that was supposed to be shallow or on top of the ground and looked under the branch and found this wheat penny. I cannot believe the condition it is in. All I can think is that someone took it out of a collection and then dropped it, but the home owner said they don't have any coins. So it is a mystery I will never solve I guess. This is how the penny looked when I found it, I didn't clean it at all!!!!
Also found a Hot Wheel truck and part of another car and an SD memory card for a digital camera. Took that home, dried it out slowly and it still has pics on it from the homeowner. Called and spoke with them and they were so happy to get it back because it has Birthday pictures, Ball game pictures and a family get together on it. So I am going to return that to the homeowner soon.
Anyway not a bad hunt for the time I had to hunt the site. I am going to go back soon.
Thanks for looking.
