New detector got a buckle today

[ScottG]

New ATPro landed me a sword belt buckle today. Hunting in a trashy spot that had been hunted before. The plate was only 5 inches in the ground but trash readings were all around also dug an eagle button and 30 bullets. Wow it has been a long time since I dug a plate.

Good hunting
Scott

nice get, hope Santa brings me an AT PRO, in the mean time I keep grinding with my ACE 250. welcome to the group

[ScottG]

Thanks hope you get one too. I have used a lot of machines and I am hunting right beside a f75 and the dues and finding stuff they are not hearing.

Nice sword Buckle. I found one back in September of this year with my At Pro. Was my best metal detecting day ever. I do love my Garrett, it dose separate targets well in trashy areas. Especially if you take it slow. It is a hound on buttons too. Check out my thread here. Nice find!!!
Merry Christmas

[ScottG]

Okay thanks

[ScottG]

Went back and looked a yours nice find. Yours looks to have had the silver wreath mine has the brass wreath which I think is Allegenheny Arsenal.

[arrowheadted]

Yep, I went back the next day and looked for the wreath but no luck. I was told mine is silver color but was made of zinc, so it probably disintegrated in the ground.

[ScottG]

Yeah it depends on the ground and the moisture if it is still there or not. Electrolysis starts and eats it away like when you clean iron relics.

Good job on the buckle and all the bullets. Would like to see pics of the bullets. Bullets are what I like to dig. Very nice hunt. HH
