So the Island has had many visitors over the years. The pirates (today's) are going there and stealing the Golden lance heads because they are worth $10,000-$30,000 each and the scientist and drug manufactures are using the snake venom to make new drugs. And we're watching and waiting for a bunch of treasure hunters to come up with a little gold?
Have we been had? The snake population is now down by half over the last 15 years.

The plot thickens!
Did the snake thieves find the treasure and some of it has found it's way onto the black market?
Will it appear on one of the next episodes as being found by the TH'ers?
Did snake guy throw himself in the rock and poison sea urchin infested ocean out of boredom?

Well they found a Jesuit ring, is it copper or gold? There's our "tad bit'o treasure" to keep us watching, it's working, I'm watching! Sooo, is their -new found uninvited friend, a snake pirate? And where's his boat and snake expert?
I have to re-watch the last episode, I missed a few scenes.

Not too many 500 year old trees in existence anyway

I have to catch it on re-runs, didn't see the last episode. Having read the posts, it appears they didn't find anything, so I haven't missed much. I'm surprised, I thought the gal would be continually in a bikini.

I thought it was pretty eventful this week.

Well they Supposedly Metal detected a Ring they claimed came from a Jesuit .

But then they are still claiming they found a Block & I hook from the same period that
was used to haul the Treasure Up the ledge.

No maybes from them. They talk like it's a Done deal on the I.D.s.

and same with a square nail.

which is not making them sound too realistic.
more like KG & Ringy finding George washington's Tooth paste type antics.

Then they claim to see someone spying on them.
the Guy has a Cloth covering his lower face like a Bandit
(I seem to remember one of the crew doing that, their first trip to the island.
perhaps that was when they were preparing to film this)
& they chase him through the woods.
and apparently he isn't afraid of snakes.
When they catch up, it looks like he & a Buddy have a sack & are poaching snakes.
I personally think it's just for drama as the end preview for next week
suggests they get in an argument with them.

Previews also suggest more Caves & Rock art carvings are to be found
with directions to the Treasure Cave .
Probably in the last 5 minutes of next weeks show.

I really don't like their beginning Preview of the shows
is of the ending of the show.

I still find it interesting, But their editors need slapped as usual.

also notice how awake and alert Snake Bite Guy is when he gets up from his "nap"
but then they still need to go back to the ship and take a vacation to another place to look at a cabin while snake bite guy R&R's

yea I Won't be surprised if the Preview of them walking to the "Correct Cave"
was the preview of the very last minute of the season. when ever that is.

There is a previous post relating to the snake poachers are getting between $10,000-30,000 per snake.

I like it.. I think it is decent. If the poachers are getting $10,000.00/per snake, then I am going there. 1 snake should pay for travel & the boat to get there and back. Plus $$ to give to locals.

Have you ever skinned (I usually tube 'em) a rattlesnake?? Just skinning them is enough to make you gag!! If I was starving to death or drunk, I might try some!! Maybe if someone else prepared them beforehand, I might try 'em. I've known a few cohorts that drank a lot of beer and fried some up....beer and snake both came up after consumed!!

When I was 12 I helped my dad skin a 6 footer that was around our rabbit cages, no worse than an eel, those taste good too. I wasn't drink'n back then. Maybe it was the beer the guys were drinking. Lol!
