After a recent visit to one of the farmers, they mentioned some new fields we could try. Dad scouted 2 of the fields yesterday for 1.5 hours (finds included in the below picture) & decided on 1 of them. Strangely we both agreed to start gridding in the same area, we had the same idea about where might be good. We did 6 hours (12 man hours) in the relatively warm weather 
After Dad's scounting mission & after only about 10 minutes hunting we were both positive that it would be hammered time any second, but it wasn't to be, well not today anyway
Instead it was Saxon City with 2 8th C Strapends, Pin Head & Clothes Fastener
(might be our best Saxon day on record) 
The Lead was off the scale, as we know, no lead, no finds. (picture 1)
