New find a few days ago....some kind of "saw" tool?

This was found on a river bank...Looks to me like a little saw like tool..Both sides are worked....Any ideas?

looks like a point that split down the middle instead of snapping in half like usually happens. Nice one!

That’s a very nice paleo point with a burination-like impact fracture that has removed one edge. I’d like to see a side view of the damaged edge as well as the portion of the point between your fingers. It looks like you are in a very good area to hunt.

How on earth could you determine it was paleo from just a sliver of the point and not even a section of the base? just by parallel flaking?

Not trying to start anything, or trying to say anyone is right.... But.... My first guess would be paleo too. Because of the flaking, the base looks nicely ground, and from what I can see, it may have a nice median ridge going on too. Wish we could see the edge that appears to be broke.

If I am not mistaken he is holding it by its base as the basal grinding on the undamaged side is rather obvious.

He has been showing Nebraska & Wyoming finds so I am assuming this point was found in one of those states. With the parallel flaking also being oblique that can narrow down the possible types for that region. It might help if we could see the portion he is holding.
