scrooge......if you already haven't gone to the Garrett Infinium prospector network forum...Black Davy,
John Edmonton & others have some terrific posts for setting up the Infinium for beach and water hunting.
I usually start off using the ex-Cal in the water, if there are a few signals and not a lot of iron or trash I'll switch to the Infinium to gain a few extra inches over the multifrequency and VLF detectors. If you're an old PI user you'll have little problem adjusting to the Infinium, however if you're new to PI you'll need a little patience and practice and you'll learn to love your machine....rdi

get a straight shaft makes all the difference. awesome can detect all day
