Hi Guys
I would just like to introduce myself. My name is Shug from Scotland in the UK. I have been detecting for only a short time about a year and a half and seem to be doing alright find wise. I currently am using a teknetics T2 and a whites prizm 4.
I am also the editor of a free online Scottish metal detecting magazine called "Up Yer Kilt".

hi peachy
i have currently three things going into the museum of scotland that i have found last year a roman lionhead casket mount , a roman lunar brooch and a 15/16th century lead matrix seal of a lesser noble. here is a picture of the lion head and matrix seal

the mounts were put onto funeral caskets for ashes usually of a top soldier or dignatary there were usually 2 some times 4 all usually animals lion bear elephant eagle.
