New Hampshire Button Vol Militia

[cabinfever]

Yahoo!

Haven't been on here in a while, luck hasn't been too good this summer. Went out for a Christmas Eve hunt because our ground isn't frozen yet, which is unusual this time of year. Found this beautiful button in our field (the same field I have detected a million times)!
Front reads New Hampshire Vol Militia back reads Scovill MFG Waterbury.

This is the best Christmas present I could have asked for!

Great looking Civil War era New Hampshire button. I think you did a good job cleaning it and I wouldn't do anything else to it. I would love to find one of those!

Thank you...I really love finding buttons!

Gorgeous NH button and you couldn't ask for a better back-mark, Civil War period all the way. I've looked at these at some of the relic shows and it seems the dug NH's are always selling for considerably more than non-dug.... Dave
