Welcome to the site from middle Georgia! You're in a great area for historical finds, especially with several states fairly close to ya. Be sure to check out the "Brands" section of the site to get plenty of good intel on your detector and hopefully get some new tips and tricks on your Garrett. If you survive the winter storms, you should be able to get some great hunting in the spring. But it's good to have you here and hope you enjoy all the different area of treasure to explore.

I would like to thank everyone who has extended a welcome to this forum. Yes, I live in a neat location and family has been here 150+ years. I am new to metal detecting but have been relic hunting for years with my Father, now deceased. I live and own part of the old site of America, Illinois which was settled around 1800 and was platted and laid out in 1818. I will share some of the things we have found just looking along the river and country side later. Look forward to this forum and it knowledge.
