New Sports Field Brings More Silver Rings

piggman1 · Jul 18, 2007

Went out early this morning to try a new sports field I've had my eye on for awhile now. The photo only shows a small part of this place, it's really a big area. I decided to start with the part I figure will produce the least, and get that out of the way first. My very first target was a heart shaped pendent that opens up and had pictures inside. You couldn't make them out from being buried for so long. My second target was a very thin gold plated copper ring with some design around it. Before I called it quits for the morning I had found another pendent, a school hat pin, a little bit of clad, and 2 more .925 silver rings. We're on the ring roll again!.....I hope.

Is that the only thing you say? LOL
I think I saw you write "Copper is Nice" once.
Not trying to give you a hard time or anything, but tell us how you really feel LOL

Nice finds !! Have a question? Most of the rings you find, how deep are they usually?{{most of the time{{? Thanks!

piggman1 · Jul 18, 2007

Most rings I find are usually within the 1 to 2 inch range. They seem to stay pretty shallow. The deepest one I have found was about 4 inches. They don't seem to sink as deep as coins.

Piggman: I know how you hunt so if its in the ground I know you'll find it. Congrats on another terrific day.

Man you cover a lot of ground.
I thought I did (I doo...lol) but you are a serious swinger buddy.
Glad it paid off for you today, nice rings and things.
Love the Nike one. Bet you could get $15 for that at least on eBay.
Congrats and keep em coming, good luck!

Smiles!

It took a little over 4 hours to cover that. That includes rest breaks and naps I take along the way.
