Newbie Alert... I'm not a veteran MD'r, but I got here as fast as I could!!

I have really enjoyed this forum. I just started detecting with my Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter II last August. It did not take long to see that I was hopelessly hooked on this hobby. It was easy to see that I will be MD'ing as long as I am able to. With this in mind, I felt that I needed to ( or Wanted to) upgrade to a better metal detector.
This forum has been a great source of information. I could not have chosen a new detector without the aid of everyone's comments here on their experiences. The choice that was right for me was the Whites DFX through Kellyco. It just arrived in mid April 08 and I have been having very good success with it. I will have to post some finds and share my experience too.
I have never joined a forum like this before. But the overall good comments and discussions on various topics finally persuaded me to join. It has been fun reading about the Chisolm Trail Hunt, everyones finds for the day, what is it posts etc. Thank you all for taking time out to add your posts. I hope to meet many of you. I needed to "justify" the purchase of the of the
metal detectors, not that I will ever check near
the trail when noooooone is looking
