Spent about 4 hours hunting an old historic site with our club members. Found a mutilated silver pocket watch frame and a toasted KG II half penny. Was getting near time to leave when I dug a 1747 Spanish 2 reale next to a tree about 5 inches down. What a way to end the day.

Nice find congrats on that great coin.

Incredible day you had! Super nice finds! Congrats!
It's always nice finding silver, especially old silver!

Very nice Spanish! Looks like you had a great time.

Nice to pull an early Spanish buddy! You've been on the quite the hot streak

Nice find Rick.
So there was about 10 Large coppers..
And your spanish silver..
Thats a pretty good hunt considering that place we have ponded for the last year..
George

Wow! Congrats on that great looking Spanish Silver!

Congrats! Everyone seems to be finding the Spanish coins lately.. or is that normal here ? Can't wait for my first.. Plus, you have a very clear date.. icing on the cake.

I was totally amazed. As hard as as that place has been searched I really did not expect to find much today. Just goes to show that no place is hunted out.

Fantastic Spanish there…lots of detail still on it…congrats

That's a super nice coin, Rick! Your silver still shows some very nice detail. I was going to joke that you were probably hunting in a spot near George (when I saw you were in PA too) and then saw George's post. Had me laughing!

Thank You so much for that!!!!
You are such a good friend

I've never even found a half cent, a flying eagle or a Lib Cap. So I'm really just a bitter little man with nothing but a couple of Spanish silvers and a ...... Cob and a ............................old tree coin with a hole in it

Nice find Rick! I believe that one has a little more detail than most posted lately.

Wow! That's a great looking reale - congratulations!
