I went on a small roadtrip to visit a friend, about an hour and a half drive from home base. I noticed a small tot lot across the street so decided to poke around some with my machine. If i was in a modern neighborhood i most likely would not have bothered, but every surrounding dwelling seemed to be from the early 1800s, it was a 2 square block area with historical markers in everyones front lawn
so ya never know
so after about 15mins of trash signals i get a nice 6 incher holding steady on all 4 directions
hmm, so after about 10 mins of prying tiny rocks away, i get this. I just about fell over when i read the date
this beats my oldest readable copper by 2 years
1798 i couldnt believe i finally broke into the 1700s.
