I stopped at 2 banks today on my way to work. I bought $50 in nickels and $170 in halves.

the take
3 war nickels (43, 43D, 44S) seem to be finding quite a few this year.

5 40% halves. I'm loving that I'm consistently getting keepers, but it'd be nice to find some 90%ers.

I'm going to try and get another hunt in this week, I haven't been getting out nearly as much as last year.

Nice scores! I always feel thankful to find the 40's, as I know that the cherry-picken tellers nabbed any 90's. Great nickel finds too. ffd

I'm happy with finding anything these days. I'm surprised that I haven't been getting skunked much, but I think it's because I'm not going out every day like I was a while back. I must be stopping at the right times, and a little luck is on my side. I'm hearing a lot of stories on here about tellers nabbing all the goodies, but I don't see it all that much in my area, so that's good.

Of course it is great to get those halves, but I must confess, I love War Nickels. Just imagine where they have been!
