Nice finds PEA. Sweet rotated die find! :)

Nice rotated die, still looking for my first. Are there specific dates and denominations known for these errors or is it relatively random?

That rotation is awesome- you've gotta have a lot of patience with those I guess - you flip over each coin one at a time?

P mints have the most errors---lazy, poor training or crappy QC would explain most. I have been called a "flippin' fool" over the years. my method is hold a short coin stack at the loupe & check both faces--like dealing cards to a blind bat. any odd image gets the lighted 20X loupe to confirm it's a real error. found a 135 Degree rotated P Jeff last week, so 2 in 2 weeks is amazing, that was also 1999. scored a nic box today with $700 in "gold" dollars as we wait for the 26 INCHES OF SNOW to hit today. :BangHead: finished half box #2 today---SKUNKOLA :BangHead:

Nice find on the rotated die. I have but one in my collection, and it ain't a 90 degree. I bought a 1911 Barber dime off fleebay to find that it was only slightly rotated. I was pretty happy about it being even only a few degrees out. Nice find! Don.

I had a box the other day produce a 38S and 38D. No Buffalos or War Nickels---which is really what I was looking for. I put the two in my "extras" roll. Lately, I've been getting a lot of skunk boxes(no Buffalos or War). It can be frustrating. Here in Arizona some idiot at the Loomis Phoenix location decided to calibrate their machines to sort out all the silver dimes and quarters. I now only go through a box of dimes and a box of quarters one time per year--just to see if anything has changed. It hasn't so far. The idiot ruined the hobby for hundreds of Arizona people. Honestly, I'm surprised this hasn't happened in other parts of the country since it is so easy to do.
