Ok brand new to this. My dad had a detector in the early 80's and have a friend close by that detects so I decided, why not give it a try? Got my nox 600 yesterday, charged it a bit and set out to hunt my yard. (house built in 1843) worked the ground about an hour. Dug most everything I hit. a lot of pull tabs but hey learning the sounds. also found a ring and 5 coins 3 pennies, no dates, a dime, no date and a 1944 war nickel. Had a blast doing it!!!

EXCELLENT!!!

I can't tell you how envious I am of your 1843 yard!

Meanwhile, great job for your first hunt!

So I also found this in my yard over the weekend. It's a men's wedding band. I had a guy tell me these were gold plated and made in New York pre 1920. rang 24 to 26 on the nox 8 inches down. ring.jpg

I’d say you should be hooked on this hobby now. Great finds. Nice way to start and with a great machine. Congratulations and good luck in many future hunts.
