Today the day started out pretty good, got an eyeball find in the Wallyworld parking lot

925 CZ earring that had been runover

Got home and woke Dan up and said lets go, I have the bug already this morning, got a pot of coffee in him and away we went.
We hit the picnic park that we have hit several time in the last month. I found my share of clad, but Dan had the best find of the day.

20 HALFS

These halfs all came out of a area approx. 2' x 3'. It must have been one roll and from the looks of 2 of them, the lawnmower man must have
run them over. These all ranged from 4 to 6" deep oldest being 1971.

Dan thought that he might teach his buddy how to locate silver, someday we will see if he can. LOL ;)
(All the dirt piles in the photo are mole holes We do put our plugs back when done)

Thanks for looking,
HH

Nice bunch of halves. Too bad they're not silver!

Ya, while digging Dan was saying Silver, Silver, please SILVER!!!

Nice find! I call that a cache! looks like your best friend had a good day also ;D

Cool finds.
That would excite me to find that many halves even if they were not the older silvers.

Great for you, Cynangyl and I will have some pics for all of you tomorrow. Our men are going detecting. We are working. Something wrong with this. :( :'(

Nice finds Dan....Looks like a great spot, got me excited for ya.
Can't tell.... looks like you're using a tesoro?

Picked up that small earring. :o

Sounds like a great day! Too bad the I-find was CZ.

Greetings all this is my first post here however after seeing these pics I feel inclined to ask. Did you guys dig all the holes in those pics? If so please go back and correctly cover your tracks. You made some amazing finds but leaving evidence of your digging like that will ruin the hobby for the next guy. If you did not dig those holes im sorry. Still an amazing day to find 20 halves. I have only been detecting since last summer and have yet to find my first half or even silver for that matter.
No metalfinder, those holes are mole holes, the park is covered in them, in that park a lot of our finds come right off the top of the dirt, moles don't like objects in their paths.
Thanks for taking a interest, because yes leaving holes does ruin the hobby for those of us who really enjoy it.

Deet, deet, deet, deet, we interrupt you normally scheduled program for this breaking news! The National Bank of Moleville was just robbed by a giant bandit wielding a massive digging apparatus! Moleville police were held at bay by his look out and partner in crime, the notorious "German Shepard"! This character has been hounding Moles for years, and evades arrest continuesly! While all efforts to track the subject were thwarted by the, dang, pesky sun...all resources are being put in place to retrieve our money! We are encouraging all residents of Moleville to stage a rally in his front lawn until our cache is returned! On a side note, Moleville engineers are working on creating one of those digging tools! Now back to your regularly scheduled program......

WOW !! Who would lose a WHOLE roll of halves like that?
That's odd.
Still a great cache even if they're not silver.
I'll take 20 bucks in halves any day.

Maybe you should put a note in your post explaining all the holes.
My first thought was :o :o look at all the plugs he ripped out.

cool finds, that would be considered a cache in my book.. bet there's more of them there....
