Not corroded but it is magnetic. Solid iron (?) bar

Maybe a leg to a kettle? Found in an old homesite where we have found many Civil War items and up to coins dating 1890-1914. We have pulled up hundreds of iron items but this has almost no corrosion and was about 8-10 deep.
