Got out for a little while this afternoon at a house in the neighborhood and found a few things of interest. Most of my dug war nickels don't clean up as well as this 44P did, even though it's well worn. This handle looks like it came from a dresser or some kind of drawer. One hole held a pair of wheats, 25 and 36. All of these give me reason to hope that I might still find some real silver in this yard. I got two signals that got my heart going: one, mimicking a half dollar, turned out to be a broken piece of distributor cap
. The other was a solid strap hook from overalls (?) The house dates to the 20's, so I'm guessing there will be more items worth keeping.
