Notched artifact thread

Post some notched artifacts if you have them; here's a few that I've found. They don't come by to often for me but it's always nice when they do.

very nice relics. Nice material.
The serrated bolens is top notch, symmetrical and good material.

This point was found along a fence line. We were climbing over the fence when it was spotted. Lying flat, fully exposed. Made of Harrison County Flint, just shy of 4 inches.

This point is one of my favorites. I really can't explain why. Other than the shape and form. I found it back in the late 90's. I recall I was on my cell phone talking to my then girlfriend when I found it. I think it was my very first cell phone or close to the low digits in the count.
Its 100% complete, 3 inches in length. It has a lenticular cross section.

I believe the notched ones are older like Early Archaic aren’t they? On the east coast anyway.

Probably early to late; Clay's are notched and they are late archaic.

That's a beauty. Is it green or is that just the photo?

this point I found back in the late 80s

I remember it clearly because of how it was found. those days the mold board plow would kick over a massive chunk of dirt approximately the size of a cinder block.

only a quarter of the chuck would be exposed most of the time as the would roll the block over. sometimes a rock would kick out and not roll.

walking the fields then was rough soon after the plow and first few rains. it took many rains to get the chunks somewhat worn down.

this point was sticking halfway out of a large block of dirt, notches out straight up.

three inches long, very thin. ground base. the point has a slight curve to it.

I remember the days of the deep plow; some of my areas still get it but not often; if I'm lucky maybe once every 2-3 years.

I obtained the bifurcate from Richard shively about 2013. Just shy of 4 inches.
