Here are a few types that I suggest: MacCorkle, Kirk Stemmed-Bifurcated, Lecroy and Nottoway River Bifurcate. I'm leaning more towards the MacCorkle, but lets see what the other here have to say. Nice find Rock! Congratulations! 8-)

Cool Find! :icon_thumleft: Looks like it may have been broken while being made.

Hmmm.

Don't think I can agree with than statement.

Rock, you posted -->

Hmmm haven't you ever seen a well flung together gal in a Bikini or one in a 1937 - 39 Chrysler Imperial sport coup?----???

You 'need' OiRiSH coffee \_:coffee2::coffee2:_/.

Don Jose de La Mancha

I did see the Bifurcated Kirk but I also saw something called a Haraway/ Palmer which is a cross of the 2. It has the Plamer bevel on one side but flat on the other and both have been worked on the edges. I find some of the weirdest points but I will take it as they come. Now the cobbles in the creek are small they average 4 inches long. It could of been a reworked piece also. Thanks for the help keep the guesses coming, rock

It does look like a Palmer and I know what you mean about it having a bevel, b/c the Palmer I picked up last week had just that. I can't really tell from the pictures but I think it looks too thick to be a Hardaway/Palmer. There is a Kirk/Palmer variant also. The thing I've noticed about the Kirks I have found is that there is no bevel or maybe a slight bevel. Then I have a Kirk-Palmer and it's very well beveled. The reason I had the stronger opinion about the MacCorkle is b/c I see a wide corner notch, a large round ear and a deep notch in the base; also it's found in your region. Other than that I believe it may be a Kirk/Palmer or even a MacCorkle/Palmer. Everyone knows bout them MacCorkle Palmers, they do make some sexy points. Lol.

Nice Rock, you find the killer stuff, literally :laughing7:

Nice Rock! My initial thought was Mckorkel with a resharpened edge. One face is flaked odd.

Nice thread and nice point boss ;)

Nice find Rock! My first thought was MacCorkle but it can be hard to say for sure on some of those bifurcated types and many others. So many that look similar especially if it's not a classic form.

Forget the point! I would take her home for inspection instead! :notworthy:

I had to enlarge her pic to get a closer look. I had a customer tell me that one day. There is nothing sexier than a point. We laughed

I hate when I forget to unsubscribe and I get alerted to a new post and decide to come look at it and it turns out to be something like this..lol.

Thank Rock for that. I've done forgot what we were talking about. Should I catch back up or just let this one be for Rock to decide what he wants to call this type? Lol.

I am taking all guesses in consideration on it. The flaking on the edge is throwing me off. Why is one side beveled and the other side straight.
