I received permission to hunt a home built in 1820. On the way there I figured a 5 or 10 silver day ( wishful thinking ). After hunting for about 1 hour I decided that the entire 1/2 acre lot around the home had been filled in sometime not too long ago. It was along a creek so maybe after a flood or something it happened. Found only clad and not much of that. While entering this small town en route to my "dream hunt"-- I noticed a modern tot lot in a park--so after the bust at the house I proceeded there. Tot lots always produce clad and I felt like a little more clad would give me my coin"fix" for the day. The first coin I found was a 1932-D penny. How crazy is that? It was buried in the wood chips at about 2". I proceeded to hunt the tot lot for another hour and pulled 36 coins (all clad). Where did that penny come from?--Like I said--Crazy. By the way--the next two targets were nickels at 8"--almost down to the matting they lay before the mulch is applied-had to be a drop or brought in with the mulch. You just never know where you will find something interesting. HH
