✅ SOLVED Object found in backyard

This unidentified object was found in Western New York on a property that was originally settled in the 1800s and used as farmland up until the 1970s. After that, this particular piece of the land was turned into a residential backyard.

It's a windshield wiper blade frame bent in half and missing the rubber wiper insert.

You’re right! I cleaned it up and managed to get the part number. “3056160 CAN 63”

Pretty quiet nowadays, but the wiper is from 1963 so it sounds like back in the 70s or 80s it may not have been so quiet lol.

Technically the wiper might be a couple years older than that. Possibly like 1963-1976, but the “63” in the part number “3056160 CAN 63” means that the patent for the object was issued in 1963.

According to my research this specific wiper was typically found on classic GM vehicles, notably 1965–1967 Corvettes, Pontiac GTOs, and some Mustangs.
