OIL PRICE****

Even air...!!! If they could market it...they would. Hell this planet is called Earth (water planet) and we sell WATER to each other.

They sell air here in Pennsylvania.

I think it is illegal in some states, But if you pull up to most Convenience Mart type gas stations
you have to pay a quarter or more to put air in your tires

perhaps you must ask for a token or Refund if they are open I see this for Connecticut

Legally mandated free air for tires is not always Free ...

It's around $1.90 a gallon here, less in some stations.

Here they charge you at rate of 25 cents, sometimes it may cost $1.50 to fill tires, sometimes more. I wish that it was free around here.

Here air is $1.00 for about 5 minutes.

I wonder when the price of gas will head back up? It would be nice to be able to store some away, before the next price gouge. I wonder at times about the driving force behind a lot of these outrageous price hikes, is it market manipulation, a true shortage, or just plain greed.

This isn't in Politics so I gotta tread carefully ,
however I say after Presidential Elections it will either go up Due to War,
Or environmental taxes

It was interesting here last winter to watch the snow shut down the roads and transit system and then be told the equipment and roads haven't been properly maintained, and they will need to be up dated...what???
And all the taxes that have been specifically collected over the years for that very purpose has gone for what???

.....don't forget the cost of health care that will need funding. Didn't work out too well here as the national test case, came up short on the money end.
They actually tried to pass a gas tax tied to the rate of inflation.

Ok the soap box is now available. :p

Ok... ok... they sell "air". I didn't mean compressed air. I meant any air outside of NORMAL BREATHING ( meaning your alive - WITHOUT help or assistance or OXYGEN). I need to stay on the ridge. Gotta eat now....

I think breathing the Air is called Personal Taxes :laughing7:

in that case I pay $15.00 a year breath outside of a Federal Prison

I think it is going to hover around $36 for a while.
Here's a thought. The delivery services raised their rates based on the increased cost of fuel which they said was their biggest expense. I don't see the delivery rates falling.

Way back, I posted that the economy took a nose dive because the oil prices went out of sight, not because the housing market had problems. With oil down, I predict the economy will improve rapidly. You have got to remember that oil is not just a motor fuel. Almost everything made of plastic is oil based. All non cotton/wool material is oil derived. Most 'rubber' items are made from oil. Think car tires, shoes, clothes, etc, etc, etc. Hay, look down at your computer. It's basically a processed puddle of oil.
Just some thoughts, Frank

We went from wood to oil.

Psssssst! I think there maybe a market for regular air.....China! We can get some of our money back!

I hear you on that one Frank, just about every market added a surcharge "to cover the increased cost of fuel", but when the price of fuel drops the surcharges remain, with very few exceptions. Once they get the increase there's no giving it back.

Since gas has been Dropping.

Eggs are now over $2.50 a Dozen.that's up from $1.20 ish last year
Coffee is now $10.00 for 30.5 Oz instead of $7.00 for 33.9 oz. also up from last year.
I noticed Bacon is now $4.00 a Pound at Family Dollar
used to be about $2.00 a pound 3 months ago.

now that Gas prices have eased everyone else is out to make a mint by taking what we are saving on gas :(

I'm not going to die until I see regular gas at .25 cents/p/gallon again. That's what I paid when I started to drive. Bring back the gas wars. I lied about the dying part.... :laughing7:

Funny you mention gas wars. Why is it the gas is $.11 - $.13 higher close to the fuel terminal? Seems to me it should be a little higher the further you get from the terminal. :icon_scratch: Think the bathrobe boys got it backwards........

they probably have to order from a source farther away to keep truckers happy.

Yes, and all these increases trickles down to the ultimate payer......us. We then have to work longer, harder, and cut back on spending. We need a reverse lever, it's getting riducules. I miss "common sense" it sure simified life.

SO that's about .50 a gallon right

Its still 2.19 per gallon here and I live close to United Refining in PA

$1.999 for regular and $2.159 for diesel in Whiteford, MD just over the line from PA.
